Here's a painting that has consumed my life for a few months. Originally 2000x1000pixels but scaled down for size and viewing. This image has been burned in my mind since a missions trip to Ecuador summer 2002. A photo I had taken that never developed. Let me know what you think

That is truely an amazing painting. It is inspiring. I have dreamed of place like that for years, good to know you saw something like this!

What programs/techniques did you use for this? Any chance we can get the large version?

*for those of you not seeing the picture, copy and paste the URL into your browser*

Why do people make such great images in a non-vga resolution. if it were 1024x768, i would definately set it as my wallpaper.
great job! :applause:

(if the image doesn't work, copy/paste it's url in a new window):)
(whoops, should have read the whole post :P )

Very nice, but I think you might have gone too far with the light rays.

Either way it's an excellent composition. :)

Absolutly beautiful. I love the steam/clouds rising from the trees.
I have been wanting to draw something like this in 3D, maybe I'll get around to it someday.

That tree on the right looks awesome.
But those rays look more like a bomb exploded, than light beams.
Sorry, have on suggestions on how to improve it.

I love it when the sky becomes that color. It reminds me of a camping trip I was once on. The Cascades. Absolutely beautiful. I love the way the leaves appear like moist foliage. you can almost lean in and start chomping huge chunks of them. yummy.

I want to escape into that picture. can you draw me in there sitting on a tree branch or something?
