import : gmax models into max 5

i've never used gmax so i don't know how/if file transfers to & from 3dsmax work, but here's just a general idea: can you export to .3ds format from gmax?

no, for some odd rreason, it won't export to 3ds... stupid, huh?

it would rather be odd if there was a way to get gmax models into max.

You need to buy the version of Gmax for developers. :D

here, maybe this would help to find a solution... I have max 4.3 at home and 5.1 at school... 5.1 reads 4.3 files fine (obviously), but I cannot read the 5.1 files on my home 4.3... how do I work on stuff that I brought home from school?

GMax was developed to produce Game Mods not as a cheap or free Max
Unfortunately Plasma is nearly as severely resticted which some at least finds hints at an abysmal and not easily defended attitude. :)
