About 30 min. used Illustrator this time

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii127/okzorg/BlueFun.jpg

Edit: I decided to change some colors with more respect to the topic, and make some touches like gradients and shadows to make it look like something more complete and useful LOL. So, here is another slightly different version after I spent 15-20 min more.

Okzorg: That makes me chuckle! Love your style!
Rongway: It's indeed blue fun! Very well rendered, yet painty picture! Well done!
Vortigren: Awesome! It's fun for sure! By the way, that flag thing to sail with for wind, I certainly hope those holes are just transparent; otherwise, it wouldn't be so effective. ;) Can you clarify that up a bit more? They usually are tinted due to all the reflections. Just a suggestion. :D
ws6nick: Haha! I would love to be the wizard's student, that glowy blue ball is beautiful! Keep on going.
BlenderFan: Awesome sketch. Blue painting, good complmenting color to the subtle yellow background. Well done with color choosing! Off-topic: My bedroom is painted blue, really! :D
ptMAe: Awesome idea. I love being underwater! Maybe you can add some more contrast? Like more intense lighting shining through so that it becomes more interesting for viewers to be more drawn in? Intenser highlight will help I think; otherwise, the rest of mid and dark tones are awesome. :)
ZacD: Haha, cute concept, it took me a while to figure out though, but when I got it, it's a good concept! My suggestion is to make that snail's shell more refined so that it's more obvious that the shell and octopus are actually from water. Better yet, maybe make water nearby so that the picture tells the story. ;)

Here's mine, it was really a random doodle so I didn't actually time it for accurate timing, but it didn't take me more than 30 min though. I just wanted to test out Taron's suggestion of more complmentary colors... it turned out well and thought it was indeed blue enough for this topic. lol! Maybe not fun, but maybe it is, just in that world's definition. :P Here I go, excusing it off... lol anyways,

Photoshop about 30 min

I should play with width/heigh ratio, this ratio is not so effective in composition side.. and if any of you know a good tip or site or whatsoever for composition, please let me know... I'm still weak in this area. Thanks ;)

This picture was kind of really challenge to me, because I imagine kind of night club scene with lot of people. And... I'm bad at anatomy, and thought about canceling this idea. But anyway I did this sketch, and now I see that I really need to practise in painting human figure a lot. Thanks this thread, to motivate me in this learning.
So.. here's the picture, 50min, PhotoshopCS3:

wanted to paint a swine flu inspired piece, no offence intended.

the piggy has tried to redeem himself by painting a few peoples houses, and hes completely screwed it up and theres paint everywhere 'oops' 'media is gonna have a frenzy with this'

i thought i lost the look of a pig towards the end, figured he needed a tail and a bit of pink to reassure the viewer ^^

good work everyone, i like yours especially Rongway and Rabid1
