With the the release of version 4 of ZBrush coming in August a new feature has just been announced, GoZBrush, coming to the mac in June and windows in v4. This allows single click transfer of tools, textures and maps between zbrush and other 3d apps. Those apps listed are Maya, Cinema4D and Modo but it does say more coming later and "A detailed GoZBrush communication protocol and software development kit (sdk) will be made available at GoZBrush.com following the release of GoZ."
