this is the initial sketch of my hope to be matte painting ;)

it starts of basic, then i add details, then use images to help create a photorealistic matte painting.

give me your thoughts on this please :)

yea its quite generic but its just to help me along.

I would not have a mirrored composition like you have it where all you do is look straight down the middle and that's it. Try arranging objects and lines in a zigzag motion that lead into the focal point (which doesn't have to be dead center). Other than that the atmoshphere and color looks really good.

So you mean more from over to the side? better perspective?

I think that you've got a problems with sky. Actually, i don't like color of it. This sky is more of a storm in a desert. When you going up to mountains, there is less of oxygen and another dirty stuff in atmosphere, and it gives very reach and interesting colors. Once i was on the top of europe, "Jungfrau", and there, on around 4000 meters high, midday sky was almost black on the top of it.

im only experimenting with the colours, and the sky isnt finished, im gonna do it after everything else, ive got 3 versions of colours in my mind, this one im showing is the worst ;)
