View Full Version : Selecting everyother row of faces in maya.
danlefeb 05-29-2009, 05:05 PM I'd probably just go into an ortho view like your side view and drag/select each row of faces that way. Pretty quick. Or by "wrapped" do you mean you have deformed the cylinder in such a way that you can't see a full row in any given ortho view?

Hey there
As my title says i have a issue with selecting every other row of faces in maya 8
im working on a cylinder that is wrapped around a pole but i need to select every other row so i can extrude them out.
Does anyone know of a simpler way of doing this bar doing in manually which will take forever coz i have a few cylinders to do :)
any help would be brill :).
In the mean time ill crack on doing it manually heh

aye, imagine it as a spiral. plus there are least 300ish subdivides in it. I think theres a tool that dos it in 2009 but i dont have it /cry
