Released this UT2003 map a few days ago, and I thought what the heck, lets see what happens if I make a thread here.

Its a medium sized CTF, based in an old late 19th century house/estate. Something terrible happend not too long ago in the house, so its suppose to be scary, but at the same time have a peaceful quietness around.

Almost all meshes/prefabs are self made in Max5, most textures come from UT2003 itself, but I also have a few selfmade one and a few from a friend, Photoshopped.

I think alot of the problem is just the Unreal Engine, it takes alot to get lighting to be perfect. The only thing is that its missing that creapy feeling cuase of the lighting, for the most part its bright.

thanks for the comments :)

Lighting in ut2003 is mainly vertexlighting, it always blurs out a bit. And it doesnt alow sharp, scary, shadows unfortunally, only the BSP itself can have that. But yes maybe a bit darker at spots would work better, but then again it still has to be playable too. The sounds help a lot too for the creapy feeling.

I released a small version of it a couple of months ago yes, but there were lots of things wrong, so I started working on it again, fixed everything and made it a lot bigger.
