This short was completely done in a month. Critic ALWAYS welcome.This project was a duel final project, for principles of animation as well as priciples of color. We decided to change the backround to show more chaos, as well as the "X" on the aliens chest to show his feelings. We did a combination of 2d and 3d. The background and the rayguns were modeled, and the smoke effect were done in maya. Hope you enjoy

Dont know why nobody's replying on this.. I thing its great to see some 2d animation here, the animation is great, I really like it :thumbsup:. Although, final has to be more clean, I mean the lines, somewhere they are clean, somewhere they are like sketch! Think you need some more frames here and there, to avoid some pauses in animation. Also, why don't you render ray gun with toon material to blend with the rest of the image, I think it will be better that way.
When I saw this video I have flashback, it reminded me of those good old eightees cartoons!

Very nice! I helped out with creating the 3D backgrounds a little bit of animation in this one. I'm pretty proud of the fact that we got this done so fast. High fives all around SVAD freshman!
