Hi guys! Finally finished my latest personnal project I've vbeen working on for the past few months. Well, it's as finished as ill get it due to many factors.

Wanted to do a shot that utilized fumeFX in other ways than what people are used to see it produce (desert explosion, smoke based effects ect) so i went as far from heat producing effects as i could!

MR for rendering, mainly due to the SSS on the glacier and fume now *works* with MR. Some passes still rendered in vray.

Done in Max, with fume, pflow, rayfire (so sim), MR, comping in AE and some combustion for motion blur.

Oh mir, i used rayfire for the sim. Not for fracturing but for some of the sim.

Thanks Hal, yeah water all done in max. MR shader and pretty simple plane with noise and reactor water for the wakes and larger movements.

really really nice :) and the breakdowns very cool, mind giving any hints on the shader for the glacier? ;)

Heh thanks. The shader was an MR SSS material. With a small scale setting, and large radius for the back scatter and stuff.

Took me a while to get it looking good, because the glacier is so large I had to fake it by telling it it was quite small (to get visible SSS)

And it think it just had an epi, and sub maps.
