View Full Version : Syntax Highlighting in the maxscript interface
Mattrne 05-27-2009, 04:10 PM I used to have my MaxScript.properties set to turn my ( and ) different colours if they were terminated properly but I can't remember how I did it. Does anyone know what I need to change to re-activate this now I have a new install?

Are you sure it was the maxscript.properties you changed and not the MXS_Editor.properties file? It appears that the MXS_Editor.properties controls the coloring, style, etc of the Editor.

Hmm well i don't seem to have the option to view/edit the MXS_Editor.properties
I'm trying to access them via the tools menu from the maxscript editing window...

Its in the 3ds max root with the maxscript.properties file. You should be able to manually navigate to it.

MEnu tools/'open global options file'
[MXS_Editor.properties]
Brace highlight
Brace incomplete highlight
Max deletes that file when you uninstall
