Man, I think this is useless for me, I try to make something and I cant as you can see here:

http://www.vi2.com/getFile/217355.jpg

I try to make a couple of abs = cant
I try to make a chest = cant
I try to make it muscluar = cant
I try to make it look realistic = cant

I doubt anyone could even fix that up so it looked somewhat descent, I think now you know why I get so discouraged, I try to make something what comes out of it? sh**

Take his lazy ass to the gym. Guy's gotta pump some edge-loop iron.

I mean this in a nice way... spend more time practicing your modeling, and less time on web forums asking how to model.

There's no secret. It takes practice and experience.

you shouldn't give up so fast. it take time to make a cool models.
Anyway the joan model is going good. notice how the legs look good cause there smooth and have good curves. do the same to the chest and arms and it should look beter. the same applies to the torso you started.

just don't give up and take your time

Yeah the joan model is looking good so far, you just gotta work on the teta's ;)

keep up the good work man, you'll learn quicker and better techniques as you make more and more.

I think I know what's bugging you.
You shouldn't focus on small detail like wrinkles and muscles when you first start modeling your characters. Try to get the basic silhouette/outline shape first. Once your silhouette looks good from all angles start working on adding details (muscles, clothes, etc).

Try it, I'm sure you'll find it much easier to model stuff that way.
Don't give up, Experience is sometimes a bitch ;)

Don't take this the wrong way....

Your not good enough yet to try characters. Your getting discouraged to easy because your trying stuff thats way over your head. One of the more advanced guys here can correct me if I'm wrong, but human type characters are the most difficult things to model. Only after you have become an above average modeler can you pull something like this off.

So there is no shame in trying something easier, then working up to the harder stuff. Look around your desk, make staplers, calculators. Then work up to larger stuff like axes, swords, maces, and even the chair you sit at. Then head up to insects with simple anatomy like ladybugs, stinkbugs, maybe even ants. Baby steps man!

Think about it this way, would you expect to pick up a paintbrush and bust out a Boris or Keith Parkinson? Would you expect to pick up a baseball bat and head to the world series? This is really no different. You have to stop complaining every other week that your frustrated and going to quit and just keep working on it. :shame:

Or don't, and find something else, posting here all the time for sympathy gets a bit old don't you think?

Normally i'll create the basic shape which will be boxy looking, then use a meshsmooth. Then i will start shaping the muscles and cutting and creating new polygons if need be.You need to see more pics on muscle tone and really observe it to get a feel.

You're young, you'll be a great modeler if you keep trying.

Grab some anatomy books, make a model out of clay, study the curves, the muscle structures. When it all settles in your mind, the good results with magically appear by themselves.

3d software is just your tool, it won't make you better as an artist.

Thats all I have to say.
