Hey folks,
giving a beta rendering from my robot to the best.
This is basically just a first pose for testing the setup.
Shaders will follow soon, so dont bitch about that ;)
This robot will be featured in a 3d short which will be finished by september this year... hopefully.

Looking forward to your comments.

Hey! Very nice model! I like it!
But I think you should chose a better pose. The legs look
a bit strange.

looking forward to your next rendering.

thanks for the comment.
I'm afraid I wount have the time to change any modelling stuff. the model is final and I spent so much time on it that I dont really want to get back into it. looking forward to the texturing and animation now. hope to get some new renders up here in the next few days.

modelling was done in maya 4.5 and for setup i switched to maya 5

the shader tests are maya 4.5 with mental ray and the pose test is standard maya render with gi joe

the red light is like a status l.e.d
it will be red when the robot is on and just off when the robot is shut down.
mainly it's for understanding the movie.
you'll see and understand when it's done ;)

Very nice work indeed :buttrock:
I'd love to crit several model stuff, but as you left this stage and don't want to get back to it, I better don't
The renderings of the room are fantastic and the robot has also a nice style.
I am sure you'll get some harsh render time problems, but hey, who really cares about that :)

Can't wait to see more pics, great work, hope the story will be cool, too.

ok folks, here's a little update.
right now I'm working on the interior of the robot body. since it will be seen in some scenes it's necesary to modell all of it.
so here's a smal work in progress. not done yet and alot to add.
lemme know what you think.
oh and btw, some shaded renders with the robot should be done by tomorrow.

the interior looks very nice.
But the rendering is too dark.
pleas add more contrast in the picture and make the scene
brighter that we can see more details.

keep up the good work!
