The search didn't help much due to the fact that "UV" is too short. So I apologize if it has been asked a million times before.

I am done with my UV Texture Editor and is ready to do UV Snapshot to open up in Photoshop to apply textures.

The dialog window pops up and I typed up the file name to put in the image folder of the project folder. It will not allow me to click on "OK". The button does look like it's pressed down, but it's just not doing the snapshot. I've tried changing the name of the file, changing the file placement, changing the format, etc etc. I even did the "reset". It still won't do it.

Something must be a little weird or I'm not doing it right. I'm using the polygon>UV Snapshot... I even tried the subdivs> UV Snapshot... doesn't work.

Anyone have any idea what's up? I'm using Maya 2009 if that makes any difference. This is my first time using the UV Snapshot btw.

When you go to the UV texture window, what mode is your geometry selected in? I haven't used Maya 2009 myself, but in earlier versions of Maya, it won't allow you to save a snapshot of your UV layout unless you've selected the geometry in object mode. If you're in polygon selection mode or any other one, it won't allow you to save.

OH Thank you!!

Totally worked. I was in Polygon mode. I just switched over to Surfaces, selected my objects and bam. Got it!

Heh I only saw your reply now. I'm glad it solved the problem. I still occasionally get caught out by that one myself :-)
Always remember in Maya, that if something isn't working and you can't figure out why, just check the output log window. You can generally troubleshoot things quite well from there. In this particular case, it actually pops up a message saying why the snapshot won't save.
