This took me the time limit because I started over twice. I did it in Sketchbook Pro from Autodesk.

Emiliano Zapata was a leader in the Mexican Revolution. This took me about 45 min. I did this on a sketchpad with a #2 pencil.

Started with the idea of having lots of prairie dogs... prairie dogs are real hard to draw.

Why not to be "The Leader" ~45min, PS

Artrage (inspired by Taron333 :P)... but I used Photoshop for slight color balance and dodge touch up..... I'm not used to it lol!

Think it was 55 min or so... could have been 50 min if I wasn't having technical issues with artrage anyways (had to figure out how it works all over again.. have been ages since I touched it lol)

Hahaaaah, yehah! Well, I hope you're using Artrage 2.5!?
It took my also a while to get into it, but once you're really there, you'll feel the simple power of it. To get used to it, you may also use chalk on grain on 0.0 to work with it in a bit more familiar way. Oils require a calmness at first before you can go wild with them again, too. To ease into those you can have insta dry on and use a lot of thinner. Gradually go to the thicker paints and eventually turn insta dry off for the real deal, haha. But, yeah, I do a lot with chalk and with the upcoming version some other tool that's way cool! :arteest:
(probably the most exciting beta I've ever been on in some ways!)

THANKS DM! Very artistic for sure and it brings the idea across! ;)

Taron333, Wow thank you for useful tips, I was hoping you'd say something about it else I would ask lol! Now I don't have to. :bowdown:You are a true Psychic artist! lol! And yeah, I used artrage 2.5 I used oil with default settings all the way from start to finish..... lol with paint roller in the end for glazing. It was fun throwing in random strokes and see where it evolved to, however my most frustration was that it didn't blend well like real oil paintings would and that I had to constantly switch to blender just to blend it. I'll try your approach and see how that works. :D

At least I can say one thing, it taught me about value accuracy and that I should be more brave to use darker tones.

Thanks again! ;) I still find your way better, more "controlled" in shapes and colors, but hey, you got more experience in artrage than I do... must practice some more. lol
