Shot is for a scene in a mainly cg student production. Constructive criticism would be much appreciated. Used Maya fluids & dynamics, comp'd in After Effects.

Hey Jai, my crit is that the camera is pretty jagged, bounces around alot. Another thing is that when the camera goes in for the close up it seems like it jumps in and jumps out in a couple of frames instead of a nice fluid motion. Other than I dig, who did the robot suit?

Thanks Mike, yah I've been on the fence with the camera shake. Jimmy Lee did the model.

nice passes, but you're missing some lighting in the black areas.. in the Beauty pass specifically, its too contrasted, you need an ambient light in there or something to fill the blacks up a tad. otherwise thats not exactly a beauty pass but more of a key lighting pass or something. the blacks should be mostly coming from your occlusion anyway...

is your GI turned on in your mental ray stats? maybe try upping your mental ray indirect lighting stats...

good to see this posted up here..

oh and...
hard-drivers 4 life! lol
