Hi again.

In Maya i can set my snap to vertex and select a line of vertexes and move them in one via the gizmo in one direction. The line of verts will move to the point where the vertex intersects that imaginary perpendicular line if i hover over a vertex.

The snap features seem very robust in Max is there a way to do a similar action?

Thanks

i think you are trying to weld a vertex ontop of another?

if that is what you are trying to do use the target weld tool. select the vertex you want to move ontop of the other then select the other vertex and they will be 1 vertex on the 2nd vertex's location.

P.S. i dont really use the snap tools in max much.

Hey there,

I actually found out how to do what i needed. I set the snap to 2.5D vertex on and constrain the movement direction to the one i want. This allows me to snap a line of points to a vertex while keeping the other two dimensions the same.
