I agree, I think the rest of him is pretty cool, but his ears are disturbing and distracting. I highly recommend changing them, make them pointy if he's an elf. I know that pointy ears is passe elf stuff but it gets the idea across anyways and looks good.

Very nice, a lot better textures then for Jack Nicholson :p

I think it's however missing a shininess map if you're going for realistic texturing. The nose, lips, inside of eyes require defined shininess.

First off - great job! The ears are a bit funky - but who knows - maybe those little balls are an integral part of his telekenetic powers. Maybe you could ge the same effect by using ear jewlery?

Crits are to work on the eyes. The wrinkles around the eyes look a little 'plasticy' and the actual eyeballs look a little flat.

I may be just a bit old fashioned about elves here, but IMHO this doesn't look like an elf.
For one, I agree that the ears look kinda strange, but besides that, elves are not supposed to be that wrinkly, not even when they're old, it makes him look old, yes....but more human than elf...
well, just my two cents...:)

You've done a great job on the texturing. Also, I agree with some of the past comments. Personally, I like the fleshy ear-ring-like things. However, I guess the pavement has been laid for the look of an elf. They are said to always be fair (almost always female looking in their features). I like what you done though. Maybe he's just tens of thousands of years old. Possibly do some more research. One other picky point, i can see light coming out of the nostrils. Also, It's coming off more like a mask right now.. i can see through the nostrils into the head.. maybe if i didn't see that; it would look more solid. Overall, nice job, keep it up.
