Very nice. The trailer reminded me of some kind of 80's film with John Cusak in it. That's not a bad thing, it just had that feel.

The characters really feel like actors, rather than CG characters.

Well done. Does anyone know where you can see the director's other film online?

hehe, lots of virtual shakycam to make it feel more real and instant. it had some great facial poses and acting though, especially that last shot of her.

I had the pleasure of seeing it at our schools cinema and I can only say that I am really shocked. It is soooo good

The only problem is that he really raised the bar for all the other students at our school :p

BTW it is 15 (!) minutes long if I remember correctly

Unfortunately I don't, but it'll be worth the waiting time ;)

I think I'll ask him if he wants to participate in this thread. Since we are only at the same school i think it would be strange if I would answer on his behalf.

fez:

It's done in Maya.

This is a Wuerttemberg Johannes movie from Filmakademie Baden, as far as I understand

It also was presented on 3DFestival this year, and it was one of the bests... Really cool work. :applause:

Okay, consider me officially confused. Is this a student film or not?

If it is, then holy cow.

Annie and Boo is a student film made by Johannes Weiland from the Filmakademie Baden-W├╝rtemberg (www.filmakademie.de, www.animationsinstitut.de). From what i know it wasn't done all by himself but with the help of some other students. The short is finished and you can watch it on several film-festivals for quite some time now. And it's really a great piece of work.
