Here is my first sketch. Not suppose to be political, but global warming was all that came to my mind when I read the topic. Enjoy. This took about 45 minutes in Pixarra Twisted Brush.

Photoshop 65 min... more or less, I dunno... I had a dinner break in-between. :) I'll go and look for a better timer. ;) Inspired by an artist at deviantart, I recalled it completely by my memory... if I happen to find it again, I'll post the link if you like. :) At least I don't claim the full credit for original idea. ;)

Thanks Wexter! :D I like yours too, I also don't know how to make it a better work composition-wise, but I like the colors you got there. :D Nice, clean, and smooth. Definitely not bad for a quickie! ;)
On the off note, I'll definitely experiment more with warm and cold color schemes, they seem to make everything more interesting.

tmyohlaing: Hey I really love your bold colors and strokes. It really work well and it gives a feeling of oil pastels being used instead of it being digital. Very well done! It definitely converts the mood of hotness! Whew!

Dreammaster, again, very good work with the brushes. something about it reminds me of traditional japanese paintings.
JD Pinto, Welcome! This is actually my second post here. that's a great job you did there. I love the surreal atmosphere. You should think of the proportions, the guy's fairly big compared with the building.
tmyohlain - good brush work, just enough rhythm and detail to get the atmosphere. I love the tones too.
Wexter - Brilliant! very funny one, I love the palm tree brushes - used very good. The colors are generally great.
and guys!! reply more, people come here to get better, exercise, but also to hear what they are doing good and what they're doing wrong.

Late submitting this one, but I drew it at work on the right day. :P

dman3d - I like the grad in the sky, the more grayish tone afar and the reds in the on the top. the fire tones are also excellent. The composition is a bit dull, try adding some more elements. maybe some mountains in the distance or valleys in the mid-ground
PaulZent - I love the explosion, and the whole color scheme. I think the smoke in the foreground is a bit rocky in it's texture, but your work is great.

Kind of abstract/surreal thing here, but I hope it's still suitable to thread's theme.

Yotam, thanks. Might go back and do more, trying to keep the time down but will bear those things in mind going forward. Did not even think about composition.
@pixelartist: that is very cool.
@tmyohlaing: that is excellent sketch, cant stop looking at it

:)Upon a second look today, I think I finished the sketch too soon and forgot to realize that if it is hot and there is a body then there must be sweat, so I spent another 10 min. adding some highlights to make it look wet and along with that I also found myself adding some more details and fixing a few things, hopefully for the better. :)
