Hey Guys,

I created a little political campaign for germany:

It's my first motion design piece. I made it using 3dsmax, Combustion, Photoshop and a little Nuke for some post fx.

you can visit the official website of the campaign right here:

http://www.dubistterrorist.de/en

You can watch and comment on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdIA0jeW-24) or on Vimeo (http://vimeo.com/4632310)
or you can download a small and a big version here in Quicktime: HD (http://weightofperfection.de/DubistTerrorist_en_HD.mov) - PAL (http://weightofperfection.de/DubistTerrorist_en_Medium.mov)

Insane but true. As you can read on my blog (http://blog.alexanderlehmann.net). This video has been watched more than 250.000 times within 3 days. I was a little bit stunned. But very happy, because I wanted to show the world what goes on in germany at the moment. And cg proved to be a great way of doing that. And many many thanks to everyone who helped me getting this to a broader audience.

Idea, Animation and Design: Alexander Lehmann
Narrator: Ernst Walter Siemon (http://www.xing.com/profile/ErnstWalter_Siemon)
Music: Iambic (http://www.iambicmusic.com/)

Some more background:

You are a Terrorist! A Campaign against Terrorists.

United for a safer Germany. The Campaign „Du bist Deutschland“ (You are Germany) in 2005 was the beginning of a wave of positive spirit in the whole country. This combined energy has turned backwards in 2009, because now you are a potencial Terrorist and you have to be watched closely.

„You are Terrorist“ is a persiflage on both of the official Social-Marketing-Campaigns.

While „Du bist Deutschland“ was promoting the national consciousness and a child-friendly germany, „You are a Terrorist“ is the answer to todays politics in Germany.

All Citizens are under general suspicion. With the new laws, germany becomes a prevential surveillance society.

By visualizing the already passed and future laws, it shows how the Germany of the present and the very near future does look like.

Thanks for watching :)

Will definitely check this out in a moment...

But to me, the problem over there sounds the same in the UK, and I presume the same in the States.

it seems to be a big problem in all of the democracies at the moment.

Governments sacrifice freedom and privacy in order to get more security. But this will become a big problem because it is easy to abuse the laws for different things, as the past has already shown very clearly in some countries.

Very effective video of a sadly shared context.

Thanks.
