View Full Version : Albert Twinstein--Head WIP
H. Ikeda 07-19-2003, 02:39 PM Hi all,
Do you know actually Albert Einstein was a twin? And his brother is still alive in the 3D space!
His name is Albert Twinstein. This is a top secret...:D

It's an early stage of WIP, and its goal would be the famous picture in which he (no, his twin) shows his tongue to [makes faces at] journalists.
Comments, suggestions and advice are appreciated.:)

I would say that it looks pretty good so far. I would take off the hair at this point cause its only hurting your model more. I like the idea and think you are on your way to obtaining it, but there are a few areas that need attention.
Forehead--- The wrinkles are pretty good, but they just seem to stop and if you have looked at old people, they don't they gradually go away.
Eye--- I dont know what that is, maybe eyelashes that aren't on right, but it looks pretty bad.
Just my two sense. I attached the photo with the areas highlighted.
Best of Luck,
Geoff:thumbsup:
the jowels area just seems a little bit over emphasized if you ask me.
on an older person shouldn't it kinda be lower and hang a bit?
Nice work.

The grid blocks the wireframe.... can you disable it?
Right now the primary "fixer uper" is the cheeks. Think about the skeleton beneath it

Thank you all for your suggestions.
geoffb: yes, wrinkles are in progress. I'll do it next. Eye may have something wrong in its polygons around. I'll also fix it.
JIII and That Adrian Guy: maybe you are saying same thing about cheeks and jowls. These parts are important to imply old age, together with wrinkles.
That Adrian Guy: here is one without grid through the object.

Thanks flingster.
(BTW, would you still need 'need knowledge' phrases in your signature? I think you have enough knowledge.:) )
Ok, after some tweaking of wrinkles on the forehead and of cheeks, and alignment of polygon normals around eye, our Twinstein becomes as follows.

All right or insufficient? Other fine wrinkles are left for bump, I suppose now.
Hair and mustache are tentative at present and are only on the half of head, because of a Symmetry object.
If all right, next may be details of jowls or bump map over the head.

flingster: well, actually I have no plan about Twinstein except just getting a good picture. You mean something like turbosquid for being commercial? No, not now.
you all: so, please feel free to suggest about it.
Any suggestion?

Twinstein has come back.
Unfortunately, he is not so different from the previous one, just plus major bump map.:surprised

here you might want to check out this picture I found I think it really describes the way his jowels/cheeks are formed.

Great Illustration! Right, he might be Twinstein's twin.
I have some photographs gathered from web sites and databases. Well, I think in this illustration he looks somewhat sick and unwell compared with my data. And he seems to have bigger chin than this.
But this is a good hint! Thanks a lot.
I'll try figuring out his jowls and cheeks.
Before that, I had better go back to the past with my time machine to meet him?:D
