View Full Version : Battlefield Scenes (PhotoShop7)
-FP- LoS 07-19-2003, 10:56 AM Well, this may not seem like much to this crowd, but to the gaming community, especially the Battlefield community, something like this is a rather large feat. Just some scenes I created using 3Dmax5, and photoshop7, oh, and of course Battlefield. Please note, the following scenes were created with only myself, and my good friend Matthew Hannogan.

Please, I know I wont get much, if any, but all crits are welcome.

thats pretty cool, not sure if theres a point, but its not bad for a screenshot manip. i used love my battlefield 1942 until i found http://www.desertcombat.com now theres no comparison, its just the greatest multiplayer game of all time (for me anyway) and i used to be a quake fan from day1.
Very cool. I wish we could have battles that large in BF1942. All those tanks would make a nice big battlezone. Where did 3D max come into all this? What did you make in 3D max?
Desert Comabt is a whole new game on it's own.

Thanks, I wasnt expecting any comments! I used 3Dmax to place a few things, none of which you can actually see in these 2 pictures. A friend is hoping to launch a website dedicated to the art of the battlefield, featuring images like these.
Cool. Be sure to post a link once the website is up.
would you mind explaining exactly what you did to these? i've played bf a couple times, and the map is the same, no real effects, a few things that look copied and pasted. Where's the art? All i can see is your logo slapped on a screenshot!
No offence but I really dont get it and thus am failing to appreciate whatever you have done.
so is this intended to be photography or something like that?
anyways, if this is the sort of thing you want to do, look into a game called Battlefront. its graphics are sort of okay, but i've seen some kick a$$ screens come from that game.

If your tweaking screenshots, try adding some grounding shadows to the buildings and the characters. You'll be surprised at how realistic it becomes.
