Hello everyone
I'm a new Maya user and i need your help.
I'm doing a simple animatic storyboard and I'm using ready characters for the time been until I finish my characters.

I've got a character ready with ready rigs, but I need to resize the character... What shall I do?

I've tried to resize the main bone because it's the parent of all the others but by doing that I'm only playing with that bone's size!

Thank you for your help.

Regards

Create a master control shape, Parent your top bone to it... Scale master control.

Should be fine.

The more complex rigs get, the hard scaling becomes. Typically you can place your rig elements under a single world control and scale the world control. If you have this setup, you can keep your meshes under the control or you can scale constraint that group. Though if you have skinned meshes, you'll want to keep them seperate as they inherit the transforms of the bones.

Good luck.

Hello guys, I've decided to just make the environment larger to match the character as I've tried to play with the rigs but I couldn't do it! (new Maya user hahaha)

Thanks anyway guys :-)

when ever you have scaling problem, try to look at things one by one, Usually you have things in 3 category double transformation/double scale, things don't scale at all, or things scale the way they should. So it's just all about making adjustments in your hierarchy. or making few scale constraints.

Aha, great info. I'm learning more and more these days about rigs as I've a project to be delivered next semester :)

Thanks vvkonline
