View Full Version : Aliens v Predator :: Tutorial
PaulHellard 05-21-2009, 04:46 AM Hey there,
Ben Parry and his mates at 3DCluster create the scene of high-living monsters, kicking back in their off-duty hours. It was a job they hung on to cos the characters were so cool. Do you blame them?

Fantastic read. I really admire what these guys do. Their 'Sorted Mouse' is a favorite of mine.

The environment is a photo? Funny, I thought it had a slight cgish look to it, right down to what I thought was a goof in the rug there on the right.

The only kind of off thing I noticed about this image is that the chess pieces are set up like they are just starting a game of chess... not very exciting yet. Were the pieces set up to look like it was in end game, then the Predator's pose would make more sense, because it looks like he is about to freak out cuz he lost.

Great work indeed.

Thanks for the tutorial. It's a great end result.
Just wondering, is there existing reference for the alien skull having empty eye sockets? I just never knew the aliens had a vaguely humanoid skull underneath the caprice. I thought of them more as insectoid.
