Hello,
basically I want to create a script that will duplicate the selected faces and push them away from the original mesh in the direction of the face normal. Duplicating the faces is easy enough, but is it possible to then move the faces in the direction of the face normal for each individual face? Sorry I'm a little new to mel, so I don't know how obvious this might be. Thanks for the help.

You can't move faces on their normal, but you can move verts.
