View Full Version : Maya Ncloth Poly formation?

i'm setting up the Ncloth for my model and i used curve Projection for the slashes in mesh then converted to poly for Ncloth.
this made some polygons with more then 4 edges.
will this cause animation problems or can i go through with this?

I would really try to avoid this if possible. If I remember right, the solver uses a quad-to-tri spring solver of some sort, and ngons wouldn't be possible. If you absolutely must use a tattered mesh (as opposed to transparency maps) triangulate it first.
