So I have this simple Rock Wall, its basically an elongated cube, UVs laid out and everything, I'm trying to use normal maps for the first time, so I export the wall as a .obj and take it into Mudbox, I paint a bunch of crevices and bumps on it and then try to extract it as a normal map. When I do, the result gives me about 20 different .tiff images, each labeled in a sort of u_1__v_1 ; u_1__v_2 ; u_2__v_1 and so on and so forth and when i open one, they... well... theres no way I can use them, it seems mudbox has generated this random blue, light blue, green and yellow, seemingly random pattern. I tried using ZBrush, and although it doesnt give me 20 images, it gives me 1 image which basically looks nothing like a properly UVd object's normal map should look like. Can anyone help me? Please? PLEASE?!?!
