Hi there -- looking for any recommendations for high-end training in the field of character technical direction, i.e., advanced character setup, mel scripting, API and python. I'm really looking for a complete start-to-finish program, if such a thing exists, much like Animation Mentor but for TD's. I've looked at TD-College, but they seem only to offer a single class here or there; perhaps they've abandoned the whole "curriculum" approach?

Anyway, if anyone knows of any program they can recommend or has any info on TD-College, please post your thoughts.

Cheers!

Digital Tutors has some DVDs out there, though I can't comment on how good they are as I haven't seen them.

Fahrenheit Digital has some DVDs, if you can find them, that are simply amazing. They have three:

Rigging for Feature Animation
Skinning for Feature Animation
Facial Rigging for Feature Animation

If I remember correctly. But they no longer sell them on their site so getting a hold on a legal copy of each can be tough.

According to their site, they should be back soon. :) :) :)
