Hey there Samjanssen, :)

You've got lots of potential, just keep pushing those studies. I'd suggest picking up "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain (http://www.drawright.com/)" and reading it cover to cover and practicing all of its exercises. I did that around your age and it was tremendously helpful. Feel free to post those exercises and whatever studies you do here.

Also I'd suggest mixing the reference studies with studies of life - try self portraits, studies of feet and hands, of family members, etc. Good start and keep going! :)

Welcome!

Well, first of all, who ares how old you are :) You're drawing and that's all that matters. Good thing you created a thread here. It did help me become obsessed with art, hehe. You'll find motivation and inspiration here. Good luck in your journey!

I agree I see a lot of potential.

I'm quite sure that if you continue posting daily some sketches you will improve faster than the majority of the old people in this place ;)

He Sam, welkom!:)

Your eye-drawings look nice! For the hands I agree it's really great to do them from life. Just draw your own left hand (or right if you're lefthanded:)) and make all the weird poses you can. Have fun!

hi Sam,

right about your age was the time when i spent all my days copying Superman comics, some hong kong kung fu comics ( they're not around anymore pretty much dead ), and some manga ...

i can see you have great potential and motivation - just don't ever stop at it and you will see it pays off in due time

~cheers,
andrew

I agree with everyone else- keep up the great work! You WILL improve, it's impossible not to. Try and do a bit of sketching every day, even if it's just in your notebook during class. Read as much about art as you can as well- looking at great stuff trains your eye and mind to recognize a great picture and recognize what's going wrong with your own stuff. It always helps- the internet is a wonderful tool for that. You're definitely in the right place though.
