HMC #20 - Expressions - Creature Head

I will post more WIP later cbecause I just did these whole procedure about Jack Black and this creature.

Hey this is another WIP on how I got to this creature. Since this is the current HMC and I started from scratch doing the Jack Black entry I used that mesh to reshape and did a bit of retopo work. Is that ok Roberto?

If it's not I can restart him or just move him over to my Jack Black thread and have both entries there.

I just separated the entries so there will be less confusion when people view my thread.

Work has take a bit of my time so I haven't done the teeth, gums and tongue yet, but I couldn't wait to experiment on a few expressions. It's been done quite quickly so I haven't really nailed it, just wanted to have a bit of fun. I will try to get the inner mouth very soon so I can play with a few more expressions.

Oh cool. I totally missed this one. nice sculpt so far. What is the inspiration and the direction for this character?

RageOfAges: thanks for the comment. I started off with Jack Black but then I saw JBoskma do a creature head so thanks to him I took his lead and did a creature myself. It will allow me to explore different kind of expressions and yeah I thought it would be fun designing one and there still a bit of designing left to do. So far the expresions are kinda with the mouth closed or almost closed coz I haven't done the teeth yet.:banghead:

BrettSinclair: I agree, I need to do more work on the forehead and will certainly do that on the next update.

FICTIS: Thanks mate! I'm aiming to get the inner mouth done soon so I can get more expressions out of him.

Looking great! I love the surprised expression and all the wrinkles, lots of character there.

No time this week to work on it at all. Too busy at work and too tired after work. Here is just another expression to get back into things again.

Thanks JMART.... really just having fun with the expressions right now and most of the with mouth closed. Still a bit lazy to do the teeth and tongue and haven't really touch this thing for the past week. Only yesterday and today have I just been playing around.

Here are a few more and these are really blocked out expressions and onceI figure which ones I like I will start refining them.
