Raytheon 05-17-2009, 08:59 PM Hi guys...
I'm Alberto, a 25 year old guy from Venice Italy, and while I'm finishing my degree in international diplomacy :deal: I'm willing to develop the skills to be a concept artist and a 3d modeller one day  In order to achieve this goal after long time lurking the website e the forum I decided to join in and create my own sketchbook :wip:
This is my first digital painting.... The Skull :D

This is my second exercise.
Looking at the picture I tried to represent it. Originally I started using colors then i switched to black and White. I'm trying to understand how to obtain a smoother result

Hi Alberto, welcome aboard! That's a good start you got there. I like the look on your girl's face, with the soft shading contrasting with her sharp eyes (although I must admit her alien left hand freaks me out ;)). About the smoother look you talked about, maybe you could try playing with the strength of your outlines to better differenciate lighted from shadowed areas?
Keep posting!
