View Full Version : IK Snap problem.

I've often encountered a strange snap problem when using IK chains and wondered if anyone has a solution to it.
When animating the limbs with an IK chain of several bones, the chain refuses to rotate when moving the goal null near the targeting bone but suddenly snaps up rather jerkily once a certain threshold is reached. I hope I made that clear :shrug:

I can't seem to figure out why this is.

You should prebend the bones before appling IK.
You could also limit the rotation but I don't like doing that.
