Hello Eveybody:

I have been looking at UV Edit Pro by d-storm. Since i am considering purchasing it i was wondering if anyone is using it and what their opinion about it was. Any and all information is appreciated.

You can get it here (http://www.dstorm.co.jp/estorm_e/index.php)

I think it was $98 when I last looked....worth the money!

UVEdit Pro is well worth the money. I own it, and I've used it throughly, and love it. I bought it back in February with the idea that I would buy it no matter if LW 8 had something similar. I wouldn't care because I needed it right away, so I couldn't wait to see what 8 had to offer.
However, now that we are so close to seeing what 8 has to offer, I would wait until then before purchasing UVEdit Pro. Like I said, it's worth the money, but Newtek is known to integrate D-Storms products. We should be seeing what 8 has to offer at SIGGRAPH.

Hello Stoehr:

Thanks for the info. I may just have to hold off for now then. I was wondering, when you purchase do they give you any english documentation for it? On their site i was only able to see the japanese documentation for the plug. Thanks again..

Very little is in English (unless that has changed since I bought it), but the program is easy enough to figure out without docs. Really, it's that easy.

Now I'm curious too.
But exactly what does UVEditPro do that LW can't?
What makes it worth the money?

hey I got a reply

Dear Mr. Greg

My name is Yoshi Abe from D-Storm.
Thank you for your inquiry about the UV Edit Pro.

First of all, you could download the evaluation version of the UV Edit Pro as following URL.
Since we have Japanese version only, it means that there is no English documentation with this plugin, please check the evaluation version before you buy it, or not.

If you want to buy it, please please purchase the license of the UV Edit Pro through our E@STORM (e-commerce site) as shown the below;

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me anything.

Domo!
