Hi!

I'm doing a simple animation with Maya dynamics (some objects with gravity) and I have problems playing the scene in the timeline.

Is there any way to convert the "falling" of the objects (affected by gravity) into some kind of animation clip? Every time I move the timeline, Maya has to calculate the gravity field and I can't work during this falling. (I want to insert some camera movements while the objects are falling but I can't because Maya calculates it).

I hope you can help me with this problem.
Thank you and sorry for the poor english :wip:

goto Edit > Keys > Bake Simulation check the options in in the bake simulation options window .

After you have baked your simulation you can then delete your rigid bodies which are parented under the dynamic objects transform node.

cheers

best not to delete them until you're happy with the animation otherwise you'll have to redo it of course.

Just hide them (ctrl-h)
