trouble Mia material maya 2009(with sss fast skin)
I'm having trouble with a transparent bottle with mia material x(preset thin glass) The baby with subsurface scattering dissapears behind the bottle! I even set the raytrace reflections refractions trace depth to huge numbers. Hope you guys can help me.

You should check in your render stats of the babys mesh if "visible in refractions" is on. When you unwrapped the mesh in another software package and imported it as obj often these visibility settings (reflections and refractions) get turned off. Seems to be the case here aswell, since it cant be seen in the reflections too.
