im using lightwave 7.5 and i am making an attempt at surfacing this. i have never really surfaced anything before. just modeled so i am still learning. any and all C&C is very appreciated


here is an older render with no surfacing attempts. just to show u the overall shape of the ship

i dont know much about lighting either. if anyone wants to give me tips on how to light them so the renders come out better id be very greatful.
and the cockpit is not staying that way. that is just a placeholder.

Wow. I like the way the texturing is starting to look. It'll look great when it's done.

For lighting, so far I think it looks good for displaying your WIP. maybe an area light to make the shadows darker, but I think they look fine now.

Looks good, though it seems like the a couple of the plates are missing the streaks you might find form the forward motion of the object.

ya i was not sure which way i should make them but i guess the only right way to do it is horizontal streaks since it is a ship. thx for the tip.

use environment reflection mapping instead of a simple reflection factor.
