Hi there,
I just stumbled across KP_Pointcache tools and they are really handy looking but when I try to cache my character the eyeballs shrink up and move to a different spot. It seems like they must be getting recorded wrong but I cant figure out why?
Has anyone had any experience with caching out meshes successfully?

hey Pete!
We are using kp_pointcache all the time withouth any major problems.
One thing that happens sometimes is that after loading pointcache2 in max object is moved or similra. Just go to world translation box (or how ever it is called in max) and check that everything is zeroed. Sometimes it moves object there along with applying pointcache. just set those to 0 and it should be ok. Same goes with scale I guess. Not sure why does this happens.
Also scale is prety big problem for me when exporting from max to XSI then puting cache back to max. Try to find best option withouth too much of rescaling.
I wonder also if max will ever get "normal" up vector to be Y and not Z so we don;t have to bother with rotation any more :)
Anyway, our modeleres works in max and we move finished obj model into XSI for riging and animation and then geting that pointcached back to max.
