Can anybody point me to an ingame spider walk cycle? I'm kinda concerned about looping artifacts that may show up in the legs (times 8 yikes) when the cycle get repeated. (sumpin sorta landed on my lap unexpectedly).

I've been checking out Harry Potter (wish I had eight legged freaks handy), and really like this link: www.hash.com/users/threechickens/Spider.htm

The problem I'm seeing is that the animations from potter, are pretty shot oriented, where variations in step are required. (really good stuff btw. having a hard time grokking it.)

thanks d=^)

i've found that if you just concentrate on animating the body first, get that right, you can then go on to animate the legs and it should be less of a problem. also pay attention to the order that the legs are planted to make sure his weight is supported correctly

Thanks dood. We've got its velocity pretty much set. I just have to figure an easy way to keep their feet from slipping in case the AI makes a crazy decision. Eight legs! Yikes! All those dern pole vectors to keep track of. I'd rather stick to humans, but such is life;)
