Howdy!

I just installed visual c++ 2008 Express Edition and 3dsmax 2010 SDK.

Now I can’t get the wizard to work.., all I get when I enter a name and press ok is “Creating project ‘maxProject1’… project creation failed.

Anybody have any idea?
Maybe Express edition of visual c++ isn’t supported?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
officially VS Express isn't supported, and you need at least VS Standard Edition to compile plugins for 3ds Max. A guy some time ago reported to be able to make the 3ds Max SDK work with VS 2005, as explained here (http://blog.monogana.com/node/10), so VS 2008 should be similar. I haven't tried it anyway.
