View Full Version : Maxon Thank You
Mentat7 07-17-2003, 03:22 PM I received an unexpected package from Maxon in the mail today. It was a CD carrying case with the Maxon logo on it and a thank you letter from Paul Babb. In the letter he talks about the loyalty of the Maxon customer and the success of Maxon. This was a very nice thing for them to do and I just wanted to express my appreciation of this overture in public here on CGT. Hats off to Maxon! :wip:

AArgh! Now You made me soooo curious! gnjiiiii! It has been very quiet on the Maxon news section so they are probably saving it up for SIGGRAPH.

In 8 years, Cinema 4D really has gone a long way. Im not surprised anymore at what they come up with and how well they treat their customers. Its just I sometimes wish other companies behave more like them.

things like this make me consider buying Cinema4d.
:)
Used the demo a little bit and the interface is fantastic.
for me its either going to be, upgrading to Lightwave 8 or buying Cinema 4D

There is no coffee lady. They "brew" their own coffee.

is that why everything is named after coffee in protest!!!
eg....xpresso...mocca...coffee.:p
yeah whats with the coffee thing anyways. maybe they are drinking alot of it to stay up to speed with the fantastic stuff they keep coming out with. you gotta wonder how such nice software is so cheap. maybe like one programmer is up 24/7 doin his thing. with an iv of coffee, so that maxon can cut down on expenditures for any more programmers than that one dude. hmmmmm.:D :D

Oh oh, I think you are wrong here..they do have support from behind.
Behind a strong man, there´s always a woman getting him some coffee ;)

yup. it can be a alien. LOL
seriously though, I love everything that maxon does. I really want to buy Cinema 4D, but for now, I am stuck with using the demo....funds are low when you are 13 :(
anyways..the manual they provided, they great communties cinema 4d has, great good friendly people who don't mind helping out...its truly awesome...
let me also thank maxon for creating such an amazing product. I have been tinkering around with PLE's of every product I could lay my hands on. Houdini was awesome, but I knew I would never be able to afford it. THen can cinema 4d and everything became insignificant.
better start saving money (wait, i dont get any money..better start begging parents..hehe), so maybe I will be able to buy cinema 4d next year...
aaaargh..anyways..i love the great support and help maxon has...the manual is the best I have ever seen in any 3d application.....maxon is an amazing company with an amazing product!
They have an amazing philosophy which I respect very much:

I also recieved such a CD case, let me tell you maxon supports their customers more than any company I have ever seen.

Yeah - that's a cert! - new version of BP is coming very soon, hence the offer on the current version, heard it from Maxon UK when I ordered the XL+BP bundle recently.
Their customer support is excellent! - I discovered some duplicate & missing pages in my R8 manual, and had a new one delivered to me the next day by courier!! :)

its good to see a positive thread like this for a change rather than all the bitching we can sometimes get into!
ohh I am about to start bitching I am still miffed about my lack of complementary porsche carrera.
I mean geez this company sucks, I really wanted that free porsche!!!!
lol I wish.

one of the major reasons for me coming on here is the "positive/friendly" attitude of people on here...their sometimes humorous approach to life...and high expectations of what can be achieved with effort.
ps. porsche.....erh model? lol..
dpvtank: for a person who is only 13 you have a wise head on those shoulders...i like the fact you chose to look at the companies philosophy is commendable....and i can't agree with you more about the excellent and industry best manuals i've ever come across of any software product.

Infact, as soon as I am done begging........ahem, i mean making money from my parents and other work, I want to get cinema 4d and work on a short.

Every R8 user in the US & Canada should eventually receive one (although if you bought from a reseller you may have to drop us an email). Don't stress if yours hasn't arrived yet - we have quite a pile to send out and send as many each day as time allows after we process all the orders that keep rolling in.
We do truly appreciate the loyalty and activism of the CINEMA 4D user community, and especially those who've been with us since the early days. You've been our greatest marketing asset, and I hope you'll all continue to spread the word.

I think you can count on that..as long as you keep up with the amazing job with the manuals, and the training and the program itself.
.
props to you people :buttrock:
