Hi there to anyone reading this, and thank you.

I would like to get some advice from anyone in the CGI/Digital Special Effects Industry about how to direct my education/career. Im currently studying Digital Film & 3D Animation technology at Staffordshire University in the UK (link) (http://www.staffs.ac.uk/study_here/courses/digital-film-and-3d-animation-technology-tcm428044.jsp). I've completed my first year, but Im finding the education quite lacking, and I dont see much advancement in the next two years after looking at the course material. I've looked into courses outside of the university realm such as the Visual Effects course at Escape Studios in London (link) (http://www.escapestudios.com/en_GB/training/courses-main/visual-effects.html) as well as placements at smaller studios around the country. If anyone could offer some advice to an enthusiastic student looking for a good way into the industry, no matter how much work envolved, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time.
