Using mental ray to render a glass, why is one side black???

This problem also happens to me in XSI

The only way I could improve it was changing the index of refraction of the material... Try it with 1,0xx or 0,9xx

Good luck!

Go to the general section of your mental ray settings and set your max refraction rays to a higher value

I was giving directions for Maya I Dunno what this guy is using.. if he's a newb he may get confused if he can't find a control called ray depth.

Thank you very much, I change the ray depth limit, and I made it!
