View Full Version : nprs shader
bals4u2000 07-17-2003, 07:33 AM i want to texture a character who has a cartoon body and realistic clothes and shoes,so i used nprs shader for body and some file textures for clothes and shoes, now the problem is lighting, iam supposed to use maximum intensity of 1 for nprs shader, and the other parts like clothes are not that great looking with this lighting, what can be done for this kind of texturing.

if they're separate objects you could do light-linking so that separate lights illuminate them.

i have a full poly model wich is skinned and animated and the parts are not seperate its a proper mesh. in that case how to texture it
I think the most easy thing would be to render it in two "pases"/files.
One pass/file where you have the normal shaders on the clothes and shoes. And then assign a "use background shader" to the body.
And one pass/file with the toon shades on the body, and a "use background shader on" on the clothes and stuff.
Then its ready to layer on top of each other.
