I'm rendering some files on my PC that I'm going to be using in FCP (Final Cut Pro). I'd like to render them as Quicktime Movies using the Apple DV/DVCPro - NTSC Codec. However, everytime i try and do this, I get an "Unable to Write File" Error.

I've installed the newest Quicktiem (6.3) thinking that perhaps a codec that was missing would be added; but no dice.

Any ideas anyone?

for output to final cut you can use just normal quicktime animation because final cut will convert anything thrown into it to the dv codek anyway (that's what it's doing when it's rendering). so just go with whatever works and you'll be fine.

yeah, but then you have to have FCP re-render everything. If I could export as the Apple NTSC native; there would be no need to re-render - ala instant editing......see what I mean?
