View Full Version : Short-Movie: OASIS
Zastera 07-16-2003, 09:28 PM Hi all,
we've completed our film. This is our first 3d movie ever. We used maya 4.5 and combustion 2 for postproduction. The whole film took us 1 month to produce.
Hope you enjoy it !

Really liket it three thumbs up...
Great to see something that is more focus on the message than the 3d. Really good representation of your ideas.
Keep it like that!

It would be nice to see but the last time I installed appleware on my machine it took over the gamma on my graphics, never again. Good luck with the responses.

Cool movie. I like the concept. I think it could have been a little shorter at the beginning. My only question is - why did you make the human in 3D? Not saying that its wrong, it just seems unnecesary since the character doesnt do anything that a real person couldnt do. .

To digitalREFLECT: Yes indeed we could of used a real asian girl at the age of 12. But than we would have several problems to control the exact facial poses. So we dicided to design the girl ourself.
I hope that answer you question.
To all: Thanks for your feedback so far.

Hello there,
it was interesting. But I felt that the images of tv just wouldn't stop flashing and I got incredibly annoyed. We know what you're trying to say - that tv is bad but urgh it just went on too long before anything happened. My other comment is that I wanted more to happen; but that would probably diminish if the tv images didn't go on as long as it did.. Still great stuff. KUDOS

very nice video editing, nice transitions and all but the flipping channel is just a bit too long. I also thought the movie was kind of dragging the audience along... But I have to say, very very good video editing. :)

My only thing I do not like is the intro is almost 30 seconds of the same flickering building shot. I think it went on way too long. You seem to be tring to show us how high the building is but you made me lose interest before it got started.

So the message here is: if you watch TV when you are depressed, your tears will vivify horizontal shrubbery !?
