I'm trying to make hair using polygons, and I'm using a transparency map to give that sort of "jagged" look to the character's bangs. Only problem is, I'm getting specular highlights on the areas that are supposed to be transparent. How can I make these areas disappear completely? Here's a photo:

I tried using the transparency map in the specular channel, but it didn't seem to help. Any suggestions?

Hi

First way is to set vertex alpha to zero.Select the last row(or whatever you need) of vertices, open up the general editors and there will be a column called alpha, set it to zero.Another way to do it,is to put either specular color to black or turn the specular component of your light off.
