does anyone know if there is a SLA grass shader or a good way to make grass without using shave and haircut? ive tried using the bantam grass generator but it just crashes cinema when i open the obj file:annoyed:

well, if u want a closeup i wouldnt really know except perhaps the hair department plugin, very cpu intensive tho, but if u dont need a close up, try the cheen shader, ive had a very nice results with that one and i believe there even was a thread about this..so the search option would also come in handy;)

There was once a very nice sla shader for grass posted on the old bhodinut forum. It used chanlum and from a certain distance it looked incredibly realistic. Since the forum there is down and I've accidently deleted some shaders I'm looking for it again too. :(
Does anybody still have that shaderpreset?

did you check on deepshade?
not seen the shader your refer to but would also like to see the chanlum version.

are we talking talk wavey grass...or short trimmed.
eg textured or modelled?
hairdept/shave etc all cool...possible ditools...solidsplines would also do.
