How do you import a sound file into blender?

I tried going to the sound block area in the scene tab, and import a wav file, but it says "Not a valid Sample"

Thanks in advance!

Actually, I just loaded a different Wav File, and it worked. now my problem is getting it to play corectly. When I press "Play" in the sound area, it only plays about half of my file. Also, how can I get the sound to play when I do an animation preview, or scrub through the timeline? I need to sync stuff up.

Hi! Once you load the file in the Video Sequencer Editor, press F10 to go to the scene window, then press "Sound block buttons" (is in the header, a button with a little blue wave), click on the sequencer tab on "Scrub" and on "Sync". Use the Video sequencer to put the sound where you want in the timeline, scrub and enjoy! ;)
