Nice work! I like idea and I defintely can see it transformed into a 3d image. I only have a couple of crits. I love the detail in the forground with the mushrooms on the tree and the bridge going to the tree. Now I want to see more detail in the house or fort. like mnaybe it is an orc oupost and has some idols and artifacts hanging strung across the roof. Or maybe some human skulls and some animal hides. If you plan on sticking with the same shot in the ed final image with the way you ave it layed ount in this 2d one, maybe arc the bridge to the center lef...ya know so its kinda curvy. I think that maybe some more detail drawing and thumb naildrawings of different angles would help you get a better interpetation of what and how you will go about modeling it. Hope this helps

-goatrape: thnx for the crits...
I loved your idea and by the way where the house stands its not a bridge its a branch from a tree on the left (i know that the pic is not so clear. its a WIP)
I dont think that the house will be big enough for an orc its of an farytale creatures house....(like ants or rats)
thx anyway....
heres another lil update(started paintin in photoshop)

I never used photoshop or any 2d program to paint anything with, so Im not really certain as too any comments or techniques I could give. Although there are a large amount of tutorials online im sure of.
As far as the house is concerned, maybe make it the focal point of the piece. Have rays of sunlight coming through the thick overhead of vegetation and highlighting on the house. Maybe even add some particles in the air or flying insects. Then try to keep the foreground very dark with few low intensity highlights. Also try to keep the far background very smudged (i guess that works) like the tress in the backgorund blend in with a dark green/ blue cast of color and their forms are not too detailed but still distinguishable.
Sorry, kinda went on a tangent with that one, just remeber that the house is in the forest so have debri hanging off from it; spanish moss, twigs, branches, etc. I would try to use some bright browns and very unsaturated reds on the house for color .
Ok im done, sorry i dont know too much about PS to give ya any helpful hints. But these are just some ideas to think about, how you want to achieve the look of it is up to you. Just keep up the good and work and I hope you can get it the way you want it.

Well im glad you got some usefull advice from me, i usually dont post things or crit anyone...but I figured that it would probably be beneficial to say something to other people's work not only to help them out but al so to help me gorw as an aritist too. Anyway I hope that you are able to push along full speed with your concept and that it will turn out just the way you have invisioned it when you came up with it.

for the house U could fill it with a colour and then using the burn and dogde tool to create the old wood kind of look. as for the roof U can change the brush pattern to a more feather look and using filter to make it look more straw like.
