It's that time again, to cast your votes for your favorite entries. The challengers had alot of fun in these last couple months, now it's your turn head on over to

http://www.cgchallenge.com/challenge.php

and get your vote on.

Till then

salud!

Where can I find more info on the rules for the voting?
That would be nice.
Can I give all entries a score from 1-5 or do i only have one of each?

That's why I setup the council, one of the reasons anyhoo. And you can vote on as many as you wish

Great Challenge. Looking now at my design and comparing with others, I can see where I could have made some changes. I can see now that it is very important to come up with a very unique design in order for a Game Icon to stand out.

Good Learning Experience!

I hope the next one can shed some light for me too.

Cheers Everyone!

edit: definitely check out the Game Art Challenge. Great stuff there.

It was a great learning experience for me. I got to learn 3dsmax quickly and efficiently with the help of the CG artists here at work, and my fellow challengers, all while trying to model a character under 4000 polys was a definate challenge. plus I wanted to give my character expressions, and discovered that morph targets work similar to blendshapes in maya.

Plus, it was a month, so it made me organize my time better. I must admitt, that when my cable went out last saturday, I thought I was gonna fail the challenge. I drove across town, to use a friends cable internet.

I'm looking forward to the next challenge. thx everyone :)

indeed... the challenge was a great experience for me. I never know it is this fun until I participate one. during the process, I have seen many talented doing great works. that really give me a lots of motivation to push myself to the limite. Although I had some hard time on time management (another good reason to be in the challenge), I learned a lots of stuff on everything. best luck to all the challengers, good work!!

I don't think it's clearly stated anywere, but which is higher, 1 or 5?

If I pick 1, does that mean, "This is my first choice".

Or perhaps if I pick 5, does that mean, "I give this 5 'stars'"

The higher the number the better it is...
Remember that the numbers are added at the end.

This has been an awesome challenge, Ive seen some really great stuff. I wish I jumped in earlier, I had about two weeks to finish it all. If the next one's gonna be as exciting as this one, Im in!

Good luck to all!

Yeah, this was a great experience, and since the challenge was the reason I found CGtalk to begin with (thanks Hirigashi) I was pretty psyched about that. I didn't even care about the challenge itself, it was just fun and good practice trying to build a model based on a videogame rule set for poly's and textures, etc. Definatley a good learning experience.

I will be awaiting the next challenge!

How long will the voting last anyway? Is it just a few days, a whole week or month? Or until the next competition starts? Just wondering :)

The voting ends on 16th (I think.... Ermmm... I should be right, since I'm a challenge mod LOL)

Well, congrats to everyone who participated - some very cool entries came out of this one! pity there weren't many entries in total...

Can't seem to log in (it keeps saying Log in accepted but then doesn't accept me). Is someting wrong with the site? I'm using my CGTalk SN and password. I know I haven't entered a challenge in ages but I thought I'd be able to vote at least. ;)
